Category: Zone BBS Q&A
I just noticed a button at the bottom of the posts which is labeled "Report problem with post". There's a combo box there which I imagine is meant to specify exactly what problem you have with it, but when I went to have a look just out of curiosity I found that they were only labeled with numbers, with no other hints as to what those might correspond to. I suppose there could be something wrong with my display or something, but I don't know what could be the problem on this computer. Anyone know what's going on with this feature? Thanks.
Perhaps this should be moved to the zoneBBS questions board.
Probably, but to answer the question the number in that combo box pertains to the specific post you are reporting. So if for example a topic had 80 posts in it, and you'd spotted that 64 and 65 were duplicates, then you choose post 65 in that box and hit the report button. You'd then be directed to a fresh page and there you will find an edit box where you can give details as to what the problem is.
once you have submitted the report an email is generated which is sent to the staff list where one of the community leaders can read about the problem and take what ever action is necessary.
Dan.
Harp, thanks for that explanation. I was wondering if there might be stuff for listing a certain post on a thread as inappropriate, defamatory, inciting hate/criminal activity, etc. Go figure! (Grin!)
OK, just added a # after the report text. Maybe that helps? If there's a way to make these pages more clear, let us know.
I had never really paid attention to the report problem with post option before but was actually glad to see this question because it brought it to my attention. And Dan's and admin's replies make it clear how to use this option now. Thank you very much.
